Block Printing Workshop In-Person
Learn how to carve a soft linoleum block with your own design and print it onto fabric. All materials and tools for this workshop will be provided, including small pieces of fabric, but you are encouraged to bring your own fabric, T-shirt, denim jacket, or tote bag to print on. It’s really fun to add a distinctive, artistic touch to your own clothing!
No previous experience is necessary. Instruction will be focused on fabric printing, but your carved block is yours to keep, and you can use it at home to print on paper or fabric. If you wish to do some sketches ahead of time, consider that the blocks measure 4 in. x 6 in.
The workshop will be taught by Diane St. Jean, resident printmaker at the Art Center in Dover and member of The Boston Printmakers and New Hampshire Art Association.
